LA's very own lovelytheband will be performing at ALT 98.7 Summer Camp 2018 on August 12 at the Queen Mary Events Park in Long Beach, CA.
Before the show, let's make sure you're completely familiar with lovelytheband.
1. Their song "Broken" remains number 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
lovelytheband's debut single "broken" has been number 1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart for 5 straight weeks. The band is reaching new heights that some artists can only dream of, and they're doing it with their very first single!
In addition to this success, "broken" has received over 13 million streams on Spotify and almost 2.5 million views on YouTube. Check out the music video!
2. They just released a new song!
lovelytheband just released a new song called "these are my friends." While the band has been performing the song live for a while, the studio version is finally out for the world to hear.
We can't wait to hear this one live on August 12th!
3. They are close friends with 5SOS.
When the band performed at the Troubadour in February, they brought out a very special guest.
Lead singer Mitchy Collins has been close friends with all of the guys in 5 Seconds of Summer for a while, so they surprised the crowd by bringing out Luke Hemmings during their sold out show in LA. Fans went crazy and it was a great way to close out their final song of the night!
4. The band was originally more of a side project.
"lovelytheband was just kind of like an idea in my head and more of like an outlet to get some music out that didn’t really fit with the project I was doing prior. Over the course of a year or so and as the songs started to come together I thought ‘oh maybe this should be bigger than just an idea’ and I put more thought into it," said Collins.
We're so happy that he decided to make lovelytheband a full-time project!
