Lovelytheband Covers 'Pony' At ALT Summer Camp

Formed in Los Angeles in 2016, lovelytheband delivered a local flavor to ALT 98.7 Summer Camp on Sunday.

The trio of vocalist Mitchy Collins, guitarist Jordan Greenwald, and drummer Sam Price has taken the industry by storm this year, with their debut single "Broken" soaring to No. 1 on Billboard's Alternative Songs and Rock airplay charts. Their growth has only continued since, with a handful of surreal moments along the way.

lovelytheband discussed this journey with Tamo before hiting the stage.

"It's definitely been surprising," Collins said. "The shows keep getting better and bigger. A lot of these radio festivals, like the one where at today, we get the chance to play with a lot of our heroes and bands we grew up on. Then you become friends with them, and having bands you look up to come up and say, 'Hey, I like your song.' Those full-circle moments are definitely surreal."

lovelytheband gave fans a memorable performance on Sunday at ALT Summer Camp, with highlights including a rendition of their hit "Broken" and a cover of "Pony" by Ginuwine. The group also gave a shout out to ALT 98.7 for being one of the first bands in the country to play their song "These Are My Friends".
