Blink-182 Will Be Featured On XXXTentacion's Second Posthumous Album

When XXXTentacion (born Jahseh Dwayne Ricardo Onfroy) was tragically shot and killed last June, he had been working on a lot of new music. His team released a posthumous album called Skins last December and is gearing up to drop the second, Bad Vibes Forever, sometime this fall. The late rapper's manager, Solomon Sobande, and Empire Vice President Nima Etminan recently sat down with Billboard to discuss the forthcoming album, and it features a handful of notable artists, the most surprising being blink-182.

“A lot of records, like ‘School Shooter’ featuring Lil Wayne or ‘Hearteater,’ Jahseh saved for this point in his career when he was more established, so they would be better received,” Sobande explained in the interview. “A lot of things he had worked on, almost complete ideas, weren’t finished—maybe [they] only had one verse and a hook or only a beat. To fill out those songs, a who’s who of the music industry came out to help us.”

“There’s a country song featuring Lil Nas X," he added. "One of the most surprising is Blink-182—one of Jah’s favorite bands."

Though the collaboration might seem out of the blue, blink's drummer Travis Barker has been involved in the hip-hop world for years. In fact, earlier this summer he remixed XXX and Lil Peep's "Falling Down." The pop-punk veterans also recently dropped a mash up with their tour partner Lil Wayne and revealed that they're working on an EP that will feature Pharrell and Lil Uzi Vert.

Though Bad Vibes Forever is expected to arrive this fall, a release date has yet to be announced.
