The retail giant introduced Amazon One on Tuesday. Amazon One links your palm print to a stored credit card. This allows shoppers to buy items without using a checkout at Amazon Go stores. The feature will first roll out at two Amazon Go Stores in Seattle with plans to expand to other locations — and even other retailers — in the future.
Dilip Kumar, Amazon's vice president of physical retail and technology, said the palm images are encrypted and stored online by Amazon. 'I encourage people to try it, see how they like the experience, and then go from there.' via CNN. Kumar also says that eventually shoppers may be able to assign a different card to each hand!
