ALT 98.7 Summer Camp 2018 is coming! If last year was any indication, 2018 will not disappoint.
While we anxiously wait for the artists performing to be announced on Monday with The Woody Show, let's take a look back on some of the highlights from Summer Camp 2017.
1. HAIM serenaded a fan!
HAIM performed to a hometown crowd at ALT Summer Camp in Los Angeles. The night kicked off their fall 2017 tour and these sisters put on an amazing show (as always)!
One highlight of their set was when Alana, the youngest member of HAIM, serenaded a fan in the crowd. She got down on her knees and looked the fan dead in the eye while singing their song "Forever." The fan was completely in awe, holding his hands over his chest and staring back at the singer. We live for interaction between fans and their favorite artists!
2. Magic Giant jumped into the crowd.
Standing on stage was not enough for Magic Giant's lead singer Austin Bisnow. The singer jumped down to the crowd's level, standing right by the barricade as he sang along with fans in the front row. As the song went on, he decided to hop over the barricade and turned the pit into a dance party!
3. Bleachers stood ABOVE the audience!
With the help of some strong crowd members, Jack Antonoff of Bleachers stood ON TOP of the front row barricade! As he tried to step onto the railing, one male fan in the front row grabbed his leg and back, helping him get a secure stance. Now that's what we call teamwork!
The crowd screamed along to the band's hit single "I Wanna Get Better" as Antonoff bounced along with the audience, looking down at them with a visibility all the way to the back of the crowd.
4. Fans played camp games with Vance Joy.
Tons of craziness ensued backstage, and we had our cameras snapping photos of all of it! Vance Joy even played camp games with a lucky group of fans.
5. Foster The People closed out the show.
Foster The People had the entire crowd singing along to all of their hits when they closed out Summer Camp 2017!
"Helena Beat" and "Pumped Up Kicks" received the loudest screams from the audience and ended the night on a high note.
