California Sees Spike In Online Shopping Scams This Holiday Season

If you are online shopping this year, you may want to keep this in mind!

The increase in internet purchases are leaving customers vulnerable to scams. According to Eyewitness News they found complains about online shopping scams made up around 43%, up from about 26% over the same time period in 2019.

It's suggested that consumers avoid impulse buys on social media, research a company before making a purchase, beware of red flags such as bad grammar and the lack of contact information on a website and place orders through only secure transactions.
