Here's What Federal Rent Relief Will Look Like In California

Due to a loss of jobs and income from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it has put many people behind on their rent payments.

Eviction moratoriums, both national and statewide in California expire at the end of the month which means many people will be at risk of losing their homes. In Los Angeles County, most evictions will be prohibited for longer even if the state and national rules aren't extended. No matter where you live, you are required to eventually pay back what you owe. The stimulus law was passed in late December that includes $25 billion in rental relief funds and an estimated $2.6 billion coming to California.
