According to The Verge, Apple will sell you iPhone parts so you can fix your phone at home! Apple says:
the program is called “Self Service Repair,” and will launch “early next year” in the US and then expand to other countries. Also the program is only meant for “individual technicians with the knowledge and experience to repair electronic devices” and that most customers should still go to a professional. But Apple is at least now offering an option for the customers who do feel comfortable undertaking the repair on their own.
