L.A. Super Bowl Host Committee Unveils Logo For 2022 Game In Los Angeles

The Super Bowl will officially return to Los Angeles in 2022. Super Bowl LVI will be held inside California's new SoFi Stadium, which opened this past September of 2020. The home of the Rams and Chargers, SoFi Stadium is located in Inglewood.

Next year will mark the 13th Super Bowl played in California. Santa Clara, San Diego, Pasadena, Palo Alto and Los Angles are the California cities that have previously hosted a Super Bowl. California's 12 Super Bowls are second to Florida, which just hosted its 17th Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Buccaneers. Miami's 11 Super Bowls remain the all-time record, followed by New Orleans (10), Los Angeles (five) and Pasadena (five).

Los Angeles hosted the first Super Bowl in 1967. The last time the Super Bowl was in the Los Angeles region was 1993, when we saw the Dallas Cowboys defeat the Buffalo Bills at the RoseBowl. We are thrilled to welcome the NFL’s biggest game and all the events that surround it back to this region for the first Super Bowl to be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood.

The Rams and Chargers could join the 2020 Buccaneers as the only teams to play a Super Bowl inside their home stadium.
