Talk about a promotion gone horribly wrong.
The San Diego Padres decided to change their name on Twitter to @madres for Mother's Day and instantly some rando scooped up the very valuable handle. He eventually gave it back, or Twitter made the switch themselves. That part is a little fuzzy for me from the articles I've read.
