If taking shots withPennywisethe clown is your idea of a fun October night, then you might want to look into tickets to Chicago. One bar is offering anIT-themed pop-up experience fit for a dancing clown.
Replay Lincoln Park, which is currently hosting aParks And Rec-themed pop-up bar, is gearing up to host a spookier affair inspired by the Stephen King book and movieIT. According to the Facebook event, when you enter the bar, you'll be transported to Derry, ME, where you'll encounter Pennywise and the rest of the Losers Club.
You'll be able to visit sights from the movie including the abandoned house near the train yard, according toB96 Chicago, and the whole affair will be '80s themed and even feature fun events like movie trivia and a fun house. But it's still a bar, after all, so they'll be serving upPennywise-themeddrinks like the This Is IT, featuring black vodka, cherry juice soda and a pearl dust garnish, and Pennywise Punch, which is dark, light and spiced rum with passion fruit and citrus juices.
There are also three doors at the bar, labeled "Scary, Not Scary, and Very Scary," alongside three shots with the same names. I can only imagine you'd want to take the shot that corresponds to your level once you make it through whatever is behind the door, but I guess you'll have to show up in order to find out!
The pop-up yesterday October 11and will continues through Halloween, but they're also hosting a first look fromthe 5-10th, if you just can't wait. From the looks of it, the bar has gotten pretty packed from these pop-ups in the past, so if you want to float with Georgie, I'd put it in the cal now.
