Tesla CEO Elon Musk is working on a product that will make antiquated earbuds obsolete.
Musk is developing "computer-brain interfaces for the explicit purpose of helping humans keep pace with advanced artificial intelligence." In other words, earbuds implanted directly into the user's brain.

Musk says researchers have already performed successful tests on mice and apes, and he expects testing on human subjects to get underway before the end of the year.
