Artists support local businesses by volunteering their time and talent through painting sessions on Melrose Ave. Their fine art pieces are set to be auctioned for funds to rebuild shops affected by looters.
Following the murder of George Floyd, Angelenos took the streets and expressed how they felt through massive peaceful protests. The city also suffered much damage and one of the worst areas effected was Melrose.
Headline Records is helping lead a fundraiser to help rebuild the neighboring shops that were destroyed.
On August 1st and 2nd shop owners on Melrose will open their businesses and side walks to socially distant patrons. The shops ill host outdoor painting sessions and artists completed works will be auctioned off for the benefit of badly damaged stores
