If you want to help out staffing a polling place in SoCal, here's what you need to know.

Every active voter in California will get a mail-in ballot this year. Folks over the age of 61 usually make up a majority of workers at polling places, due to the pandemic this will keep many of those people home who volunteer.

Los Angeles County Supervisors are aware that recruitment will be harder this year. Last month, they created the Disaster Service Worker program. So every public employee in the state can be called on to work in different roles during an emergency.

LA County hasn't started recruiting yet, but if you are interested yo can fill out an application online and they will be in touch. Volunteers will get a stipend of $100 a day and $80 for training days which are mandatory.
