Disney is currently testing out a new feature!
According to a company blog, Disney is testing out facial recognition technology for their guests. The way it works is that the technology captures an image of a guest's face then converting it into that unique number. The number is then linked to a guest's MagicBand of park admission.
Guests must take off any hats, visors or sunglasses before they go through the facial recognition test zone. Face coverings must still remain on at all times even during this process. This is optional and tests are ongoing throughout the park. Disney officials say that the move comes in effort to integrate more touch-free features throughout the park.
Do you think this is a good idea?
