This story that the LA Times published yesterday is extraordinary for a couple of different reasons:
1) The specifics of what this couple did to survive is unlike anything I've ever seen
2) It's a first hand perspective of how dangerous and destructive these fires were. Hearing this couple describe the speed and intensity of this natural disaster was incredibly eye-opening.
3) It's a small window into understanding what literally thousands of people are going through right now in Northern (and Southern) California
