Twenty One Pilots have been off the radar for what seems like forever. They just started teasing what we hope is new music and, of course, fans are in a frenzy trying to figure out what they're up to.
Speculation about new music from the band started late last week when they sent subscribers of their newsletter a cryptic email with the subject line "ARE YOU STILL SLEEPING?" The body of the email included a gif of a yellow eyeball opening and closing. The email was sent on July 6th - exactly one year to the day that the band went silent on social media.
This week, billboards featuring a new logo appeared in major cities internationally like London, Berlin and Toronto. The band's website was updated with a similar color scheme.
They also took to social media to post for the first time since the hiatus as well. The band posted a 15 second video of the same yellow eyeball that was emailed to their fans. There's some sort of video playing in the eyeball itself. All we can make out is a fire, a white horse and some empty fields. Other posts across social platforms and the group's website consist of images and writings that are not entirely visible, leaving fans wondering what's to come.
