Hi, friends - welcome to (the new) Close To Home - my name is tobi, your host and curator.
I know it's been a super long minute since you've heard from me online - but in full disclosure - it's because i'm finally back in action after battling breast cancer. as you can imagine, it's been a rough two years - but music has always been my therapy, so continuing to be on the air curating and hosting the show has been my main focus - however, now i'm back to keep you in the loop on the internet too!
SO - let's get down to business.
What is Close To Home? It's an hour dedicated to celebrating the LA and OC music scene - and believe me - the scene is ripe with amazing music from artists that will soon be your favorites!
Over the past several months I've had in-studios guests and sessions from: Ray Little, Opus Vitae, Pompeya, Cary Brothers, Alex Winston, The Mowgli's, Smoke Season, Carah Faye and more. But now as I'm getting my strength back, there will be more guests, more ALT987fm Close To Home presents shows, more live sessions - more more more!
