The pandemic has changed the lives of all of us. Now, The Department of Cultural Affairs Public Art Division and City Council designated $340,000 in Art Development Fees to establish a COVID-19 Emergency Response Program to provide emergency relief to artists living in Los Angeles.
Now, artists will have an opportunity to re-imagine public art and how it's experienced in the places we live, shop, etc.
The new program will provide emergency relief to individual artists based in LA who haven't received a public art commission from DCA from the dates July 2019 to June 2020. All artist must be willing to make their work and services available through real-time, online and virtual platforms.
