The FDA just authorized the first rapid coronavirus test that won't require any computer equipment to get results.
It's a 15 minute test from Abbott Lab that will be sold for $5.00 and give a competitive edge over similar tests that need to be placed into a small machine. This new test is the size of a credit card and is based on the same technology used to test for the flu, strep throat and other infections.
This is expected to expand for testing at schools and businesses that are struggling to reopen and as flu season approaches.
