If you are enjoying outdoor dining, you are in luck because it might be sticking around for good!
According to the City's Council's Transportation Committee, they voted in favor to keep the outdoor dining program around! It began back in May so that restaurants would be able to operate business outdoors on sidewalks and even parking lots during the ongoing pandemic.
Other SoCal cities have turned to outdoor dining to help keep restaurants stay open during the pandemic, in some spots, public streets have even been shut down to accommodate seating! If this does become permanent, that means a permitting process would be needed and ensuring that outdoor seating doesn't obstruct public sidewalks and access for the disabled is still possible.
