The winner of a $500,000 lottery jackpot says he drove around with the unscratched ticket for a week before he discovered he'd won.
The unidentified South Carolina man says he bought the Extreme ticket from a convenience store in Greenville, threw it into his car and forgot all about it. When he found it a week later, he was floored to discovered it was a half-million dollar winner," he says.
"It's surreal," the winner stated.
This time around, however, the man decided he wasn't taking any chances. "I didn't hesitate," he says. "I drove straight to Columbia to cash it in."
