Monday night, AEG, the worldâs leading sports and live entertainment company, and The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative (SIGBI), the official and only charitable giving organization of the historic Stonewall Inn, honored Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater officially becoming SIGBI-certified LGBTQ+ Safe Spaces during the Los Angeles Kings hockey game at Crypto.com Arena.
Stacy Lentz, CEO of SIGBI and co-owner of The Stonewall Inn in New York City, and SIGBI board members Kevin McDowell, Dara Nai, Angelica Torres, and David Stuniski were in attendance. SIGBI presented the official SIGBI Safe Space certification plaque to AEG, symbolizing the hard work and dedication of AEG and its staff to ensure inclusivity for all. AEG also presented SIGBI with a cheque donation and Crypto.com Arena & Peacock Theater President Lee Zeidman shared remarks. Crypto.com Arenaalso celebrated the accomplishment by spotlighting the venueâs SIGBI Safe Space Certification badge on the jumbotron ahead of halftime.
Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater worked closely with SIGBI to provide the proper training, policies, and standards to ensure that both venues are advocating for equality and creating safe spaces for LGBTQ+ employees and customers. In addition to completing a 10-step Safe Spaces Certification Program, employees of Crypto.com Arena and Peacock Theater also participated in a training component designed by Jennifer Brown Consulting to ensure that they are creating inclusive environments for employees, tenant teams, artists, guests, promoters, and partners.Â
