An 18-year-old high school student in Alabama asked his grandma to be his prom date... but there's a problem. The boy's high school won't allow him to bring her to the dance.
Bryce Maine made plans with his grandmother who was never able to attend her own prom. They even bought her a dress and everything.
A post from the boy's cousin on Facebook says that the high school is worried about the dance becoming a "mockery" where everyone ends up bringing their grandparents.
The controversy has landed all over social media with people using the hashtag #LetNannyGoToProm to show support.
