Gov. Newsom Announces the Closure of ALL California Beaches May 1st

California's shelter-in-place didn't stop people from flocking to the beaches this past weekend.

Gov. Gavin Newsom expressed his frustration in a tweet stating, "We aren’t out of the woods yet. We must continue to take this seriously and allow our re-opening to be guided by science and public health."

As a result, for obvious safety reasons and concerns, all California beaches and state parks will be closed effective May 1st.
