Newsom: 'No Money In the Piggy Bank' for $400 Weekly Unemployment Order

California Faces First Case Of "Community Acquired" Coronavirus

On Saturday, President Trump signed an executive order to extend additional weekly unemployment benefits to $400.

Governor Newsom however stated that California is running low on funds saying, "There is no money sitting in the piggy bank of the previous CARES Act to be re-prioritized or reconstituted for this purpose. Simply, it does not exist."
