Due to the coronavirus, Los Angeles County is still in lockdown.
Now, the county's public library system launched a new program to lend laptops and mobile wireless internet service to provide free printing.
These new services are intended to help with technological issues for those who don't have printers, computers or WiFi at home. According to director Skye Patrick, he said: "The digital divide has far-reaching consequences, especially during this unprecedented time.We see laptop and hotspot loans and printing pickup as two ways the library can help to bridge the digital divide for these communities.”
