This Holiday season, UPS will be hiring 100,000 seasonal workers to help handle expected holiday packages from online orders this year.

Since most shopping will be done online due to the ongoing pandemic, they'll need as much help as they can get.

The holiday hires are a slight increase from last year to keep up with the surge in package demand. During the second quarter, UPS brought 39,000 workers at its U.S. unit that saw package volume surge by 23% from a year earlier. According to Chief Human Resources Officer, Charlene Thomas, she stated: “We’re preparing for a record peak holiday season. The Covid-19 pandemic has made our services more important than ever.”
