United Airlines will be the first U.S. airline to start a new coronavirus testing program for passengers.

It will start on October 15th, flyers from San Francisco bound for Hawaii will be given the option to order an at-home testing kit or reserve a time for rapid tests at the airports. According to United's managing director of operations policy and support, Aaron McMillan stated:

"We really see this as a great opportunity to provide access to testing for our customers, to get them back in the air and traveling as safely as possible."

The at-home kit will be $80 plus shipping, and go to a San Francisco lab for processing and then flyers will have results in 48 hours. United then hopes to expand the testing options to their hubs across the country in cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles!
