SoCal Edison May Shutdown Power On Thanksgiving Due To Fire Warnings

Make sure you are staying safe this Thanksgiving.

It was just announced that SoCal Edison may shut power off to more than 73,000 customers as the forecasts calls for increased fire danger this Thanksgiving weekend. The Public Safety Power Shutoff program is designed to lower the risk of fires that are caused by damage to electrical equipment when the strong winds are expected.

They are currently monitoring conditions for a possible shutdown starting at noon on Thanksgiving Day until 3 p.m. on Friday.
