ALT 98.7 Alter Ego kicked off at the KIA Forum with a performance from Fall Out Boy on Saturday (January 14). Fall Out Boy brought the energy with literal shooting fire and paper confetti during their show at Alter Ego.
During an interview with Stryker from the Booker and Stryker Show, Fall Out Boy spoke about the new single 'Love From the Other Side,' the headspace they are in since dropping Mania and opening the show.
"Love From the Other Side" officially comes out next week, but Pete Wentz admitted that while the band would have loved to play the song during the Alter Ego show they actually "don't know how to play it."
Patrick Stump revealed that they do know how to play it and they have rehearsed it, but it wasn't in the cards for the show this time.
It's been five years since the release of "Mania" and it was really important to the band that this new album would be something you could "savor", according to Patrick Stump.
Both Pete and Patrick agreed that opening the show was much lower pressure than closing out the show and they both love the experience.
Fall Out Boy shared there are more shows on the horizon so keep your eyes peeled!
