Remember the Fiji Water Girl from the Golden Globes?
Well - turns out she is now suing FIJI Water for $12 Million because of ad campaigns that ran after the Golden Globes, capitalizing on the viral moment - allegedly without her consent
Her lawyer alleges that the agreement she did sign wasn't a thing:
“The fake document Steinbach fake signed in the potential future promotional video was not an agreement… The fake document was not signed by Fiji Water and was later destroyed by Steinbach.”
As you can imagine - Fiji Water disagrees
“This lawsuit is frivolous and entirely without merit. After the Golden Globes social media moment, we negotiated a generous agreement with Ms. Cuthbert that she blatantly violated. We are confident that we will prevail in Court. Throughout our history, we have had a sterling reputation working with talent.”
