In the mood for a different type of sweet treat?!
A Maryland candy company called Chouquette Chocolates is now selling chocolate covered cicadas to celebrate the emergence of the insects that have been underground the past 17 years. If you are wondering how they are made, it's pretty simple! They are first collected, frozen, boiled and oiled before being placed in an air fryer. Once they are cooked and cooled, they are covered in melted chocolate, once the chocolate hardens they are ready to be served!
