Can you believe Walt Disney World is announcing The Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration?!
It will start on October 1st, 2021 and will last a full 18 months lasting through March 2023! Most of Disney anniversaries run at least 14-16 months. October 1st is the exact date the Magic Kingdom opened, so it makes sense the celebration starts that day!
There are also new entertainment options you can expect to see when the celebration begins. There's a new magic kingdom firework show called Disney Enchantment, a new EPCOT Fireworks show called Disney Harmonious, Animal Kingdom Daytime Show called Disney KiteTales. There are also new 50 Golden Disney Character statutes that will be throughout the Disney World theme parks.
