Tour de Pier Brings Together Thousands To Spin And Fight Cancer

 11th Annual Tour de Pier to fight cancer, Sunday May 21st in Manhattan Beach!!

Thousands of determined cyclists will power through five hours on hundreds of stationary bikes at the iconic Manhattan Beach Pier and Strand to raise money and awareness to advance cancer research at the 11th Annual Tour de Pier. The event will benefit a trio of nonprofit cancer organizations dedicated to helping save lives:  Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, Cancer Support Community South Bay and  the Uncle Kory Foundation for Brain Cancer Research. 

The Tour de Pier attracts 10,000 participants and attendees, alike, who are emboldened to act in helping raise awareness and provide much-needed support resources. 

family reunion where we are bonded by tears, optimism, and a common goal, helping to save lives by defeating cancer.  Since debuting in 2013, The Tour de Pier has raised more than $10.5 million dollars for cancer research!! 

Expect a day mixed with laughter, sadness, fitness, and hope! Plus,

fun-filled activities like the Tiger Squadron flyover, in remembrance of those who lost their battle with cancer as well as salute the fundraiser, and its warriors! Also returning will be the popular Kids Zone and the FREE Health & Fitness Expo featuring a sundry of the area’s vendors and SO MUCH MORE!! for ALL the info! 

Aired May 14, 2023: Host Lisa Foxx interviewed Lisa Manheim...she is the cofounder of Tour de Pier, and Executive Director for the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer research, on behalf of her stepdad Ron Hirshberg. The Lisa's discussed how this iconic event brings THOUSANDS together to fight the dreaded C WORD! A disease that continues to rob us of our loved ones MUST BE STOPPED! They discussed how the money raised has a significant impact on the 3 benefitting charities and all those who attend this empowering event!
