The International Olympic Committee has said many times that it wants to include more "modern" sports at the games
EX: karate, surfing, baseball, climbing and skateboarding will all make their Olympic debut next year in Tokyo 2020.
Taking it a step further - Breakdancing is being considered for Paris in 2024
And even though by societies standards Breakdancing was modern in the 1980's - at least the games are willing to discuss giving it a shot.
